In 2006, Sorted Solution opened its doors in Manhattan with a straightforward promise: give small and mid-sized businesses the same caliber of IT support that Fortune 500 companies take for granted. Over the next decade, we earned our stripes supporting law firms, financial services companies, creative agencies, and nonprofits across all five boroughs. In 2015, we moved our headquarters to Seattle. The Pacific Northwest tech scene was thriving, and we saw an opportunity to plant roots in a city that values innovation, sustainability, and community. It was not a departure from New York so much as an evolution: we brought a decade of East Coast intensity to a market that rewards thoughtful, long-term thinking.
Seattle gave us proximity to the cloud giants. With AWS and Microsoft Azure literally in our backyard, we deepened our expertise in cloud infrastructure, identity management, and hybrid deployments. Our local clients ranged from startups in Pioneer Square to established firms in Bellevue, but we never lost sight of the nationwide relationships we had built along the way.
Throughout those years, a common thread held steady: whether our clients were in the same ZIP code or across an ocean, they deserved responsive, transparent, and genuinely helpful IT support. Geography changed, but our standards did not.
March 2020 changed the way every business thought about technology. Overnight, offices emptied and the question shifted from "should we move to the cloud?" to "how fast can we get there?" For Sorted Solution, the pandemic did not create a new skill set. It amplified one we had been building for years.
We helped companies across North America, Europe, and Asia migrate their file servers, email systems, and collaboration platforms to the cloud in a matter of weeks, not months. We deployed virtual desktops for teams that had never worked outside an office. We secured endpoints that were suddenly connecting from home networks, coffee shops, and kitchen tables in three different time zones.
What became clear during those intense months was that the future of work was not going back to the way things were. Companies realized they could hire the best talent regardless of location, and they needed an IT partner who understood how to support a workforce that was no longer gathered under one roof. That realization became our calling card.
